What is hearing loss, what causes
it,
and can it be fixed?
Imagine, if you will, that
you are the incomparable investigator Sherlock
Holmes
and you are very tiny. You and your partner,
the brilliant Dr. Watson (very
tiny as well), investigate
perception and sensory problems
in the human body.
You make diagnoses by investigating the problem and taking a trip through the affected area in the human body via submarine (which is,
you guessed it, very tiny!).
Clients come to you with
their various complaints which you research, you then come up with two or three possible
diagnoses, take a
trip through the appropriate system
within
the body, and emerge
with the final diagnosis.
Today, a new client came to you
with a problem you have not had
to investigate before...he is losing the
hearing in his right ear. He is very worried and asks that
you investigate and advise him on any
available treatment options.
