Task

Your mission is to determine the cause of your

client's hearing loss and determine what,

if anything, can be done to restore his hearing

1.  You will search the internet resources listed in the Resource, Process, and Journey Sections (as well as view two videos--Deafening Sound. How Loud is Too Loud? and The Hearing Video) to retrieve information about the anatomy of the ear, hearing perception, hearing loss, and possible solutions to your client's hearing loss dilemma.  (Your research does not have to be limited to the sources listed here.  Be creative...find other sources.)

2.  Upon completion of your WebQuest, you will be required to summarize what you found in a PowerPoint presentation as well as complete four crossword puzzles.  Here is a link to a List of words to concentrate on while conducting your research.  This will help in your crossword puzzle completion as well as guide your research.

3.  Your PowerPoint presentation will consist of a list of the symptoms, cause(s) of the hearing loss, and treatment options.  It should be no more than five slides and will be presented upon completion of this WebQuest (at a date and time your professor indicates).
